Churros Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 1/2 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 quarts oil
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  •   chocolate sauce

Preparation

  1. In saucepan over medium heat, combine water, 2 1/2 tbsp sugar, salt and vegetable oil.

  2. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.

  3. Stir in flour until mixture forms a ball.

  4. Heat oil for frying to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

  5. Pipe strips of dough into hot oil.

  6. Fry until golden.

  7. Drain churros on paper towels.

  8. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.

  9. Roll churros in cinnamon and sugar mixture.
